Legal and Mediation Services
My practice focuses on the areas of probate, trust, and guardianship litigation. I also enjoy mediation and helping litigants resolve their differences, where they are in control of the outcome.
Background
Carmen Samaniego received her Bachelors of Fine Art in Architectural Design from UTSA, her Masters of Community and Regional Planning from The UT Austin, and her JD from St. Mary's University School of Law.
She has worked as a chocolatier in Honduras, an urban planner in Germany, and as a foreign service officer for USAID in Pakistan. As an attorney in Texas, she has chaired a medium section and large section of the State Bar. (Women in the Law and General Practice, Solo, and Small Firm); chaired SABA Elder Law Section; past board member and VP for CLE of San Antiono Trial Lawyers; and past board member and treasurer for Bexar County Women’s Bar Assoc. and Foundation. She is also a past board member of Christian Senior Services for Bexar County (Meals on Wheels).
Carmen was in private practice for 20 years before accepting her appointment as the Associate Judge for Probate Court No. 2 in Bexar County in 2021 where she served for 3.5 years until going back into private practice. She is excited to assist families not only in litigation but also as a mediator. She continues as a frequent author and speaker for CLE’s throughout Texas.
